Ferrero, one of the worlds leading confectioners, is known as a manufacturer of accessible, premium quality chocolates. Corporate management sought to achieve a global brand identity and packaging presentation for Mon Chéri Chocolates through consistent use of the brands red and white gift tag logo and bow graphic. Mon Chéri's corporate management team enacted visual branding standards in support of their global brand identity objectives. Each Ferrero subsidiary worldwide was tasked with implementing Mon Chéri's global branding program for their region.
Ferrero North America collaborated with the Johnson Communications Group to apply the global branding design standard and initiate a creative strategy for development of updated packaging for Mon Chéri Chocolates. JCG developed a wide range of packaging design solutions in support of the Mon Chéri creative objectives. The final Mon Chéri packaging design is comprised of a two piece carton, consisting of an outer sleeve and an inner tray unit printed in warm, rich gold tones. The distinctive gift box style carton combined with the subtle yet effective graphic imagery creates the perfect counterbalance for the Mon Chéri gift tag and bow logo, resulting in a dramatic presentation at retail.
